Larger offices looking for a simple coffee solution may find some interest in the Flavia Creation 400. This newer model has a new look, and a bunch of nice features. WHAT WE LIKED ABOUT THE CREATION 400You might be thinking that the only different between the Flavia Creation 400 and the smaller models is the size. Since the Flavia Creation 400 and Flavia Fusion both use the same filter packs, the drinks should taste the same, right? WRONG! We had the same thoughts and we were absolutely incorrect in our assumption. One of the key features in this office sized model is the "Drink Volume Per Cup" option. You can specify how much water to run through the filter pack, thus giving you stronger or weaker flavors. Our main issue with the Flavia Fusion was the fact that espresso based drinks weren't the best. It was too watered down to be called espresso. With the Creation 400, you can simply tell the machine you want a stronger drink, and there you have it, espresso! Other great features of machine are speed and drink temperature. We had a piping hot beverage in 30 seconds flat! It wasn't luke warm, it was hot! WHAT WE DIDN'T LIKEThere really isn't much we did not like about the Flavia Creation 400. The drinks were made very fast, clean and consistent. We have this system on demo for another 6 months. We will update this post with any shortcomings we find. Comments (15)

... I have one for my home and it is fantastic. After 1 year it has become extremely slow though, 2-3 minutes to pour the water through the flavia pack. I am not able to find a proper way of cleaning the unit. Does anyone have any advice? (other than vinager...) |

... Chris, This is quite common in the models with the water filters. They do require maintenance, especially if you use tap water. Take the filter out and rinse with hot water. Use a brush to clean it as well. You should see improvements. If the filter is extremely clogged, you may need to replace it. In case you don't already have it, I'm emailing you a copy of the user manual. There are some diagrams that may help you. |

... I just had one of 400 series with the coin-op installed in our student lounge as a fundraiser. Everyone loves it except for one thing, we cannot get it to dispense more than about 6 or 7 oz per cup. I keep reading "up to 10 oz" in the literature for this machine. I even went through the setup screen and changed the max hot water volume to 250 (not sure what that equates to) but it made no difference in volume. Is there some secret trick to increase the amount dispensed? Ideally, we want to dispense 8 or 9 oz into a 10 oz cup. Thanks. |

... I was needing the user manual for a US model due to the fact when I put it in the set up mode I only get a menu that shows how many cups have been dispensed from the unit. and I can not overcome that menu screen. thanks, |

... I noticed in the instructions manual that it indicates NOT to use water from a water softener if the unit is directly plumbed. Does anyone know if this is also a problem for using the machine in by adding water to the reservoir? Not sure if this is a potential issue just with the plumbing and controls for direct plumbing, or if it might cause a problem with the rest of the machine. Thanks for any thought or info. |

... I didn't see any mention of a mesh filter, or the activated carbon filter in the manual. Does the Creation 400 have these? Where are they, and how can they be cleaned? How is the system to be cleaned/flushed? The manual just seems to mention cleaning the water tank door. |
